Faith / PERSONAL ESSAY
Faith in the Ordinary Moments
Purpose, patience, and the small choices that shape a life.
A reflection on how Christian faith can shape the ordinary rhythms of work, family, and service.
Faith is easy to discuss in broad terms. Living it in the middle of a demanding day is more challenging. The ordinary moments ask whether our convictions are becoming habits.
Presence before performance
It is possible to move through a full schedule and still miss the people in front of us. A faithful life makes room to listen, to serve, and to treat others with dignity even when we are tired.
Grace and responsibility
Grace does not remove the need to own our actions. It invites humility: the ability to acknowledge where we have fallen short and to take a different step tomorrow.
The most meaningful evidence of belief may be the way we love when no one is keeping score.
A question worth carrying
What would change today if I approached one difficult interaction with more patience, more truth, and more willingness to listen?
